Trigger finger no moreAfter suffering from finger pain for a couple of years and tiring of making homemade splints, I knew there must be a better way to treat my finger. Hence, Oval-8. The local OT had a sizing set that I used to choose my size. I ordered a set of five in size 10. Within two days my finger was so much better and much less swollen, I promptly ordered a set of size 9. I wear size 9 throughout the day and size 10 at night while sleeping. My trigger finger and pain are virtually gone, though it is still a little stiff. These splints don't allow you to make a fist. I plan to wear for the recommended time and am happy that I will have back-ups when needed. 5great splint but buy a bunch - easily lost!These do greatly help my joints affected by Rheumatoid Arthritis, but I feel like I should take out stock in the company, as I find they fall off constantly when I am busy, and I often don't notice at first. They have gone down the drain to the delight of my garbage disposal, been deemed a chew toy by our puppy, and disappeared into thin air, never to be seen again. So, once you are sure you have the right size(s), buy a bunch of them! 3Be sure of size needed.They really do help keep knuckle from bending which causes pain 5Good for trigger fingerI wore two daily for months on my thumbs. Doesn't hold water, easy to wash, diminishes pain of trigger thumb to nothing. Highly recommended as a temporary solution. 5Great for finger stabilityThese are the same as we have been getting at the hospital but at a much better price. We get them in bulk and in a variety of sizes for when they get flushed, stepped on, or just lost. Our son has special needs and is not very good at keeping them on. But still a great buy! 5They immobilize a joint and give great pain relief!I'm having trouble with the distal joints on my fingers. I bought a pretty silver ring for my finger to wear in public, but around the house, I need something I don't have to worry about too much. These Oval-8 rings do the job. As others have said, they're easy to lose. They wash off at the sink, they fly off if I move my hands too quickly, I set them down and forget where. But in general, they're wonderful: lightweight; comfortable; and supportive. They are a bit expensive for plastic (sterling costs about $22 versus the $7 for plastic), but they do a very specific job very well. My fingers hyperextend making it very painful ...I love these! My fingers hyperextend making it very painful to write, type, and press buttons. My pain is almost totally gone since I've been wearing these! I can actually use my hangs again for the first time in years and it is amazing. I used to think I would eventually get the metal version of these, but after trying a friend's I realize the plastic is actually more comfortable, and at about 10% of the price there is really no reason to make the switch. Very pleased with these 5Supportive & comfortable finger joint support!I like these finger joint supports. I use them for preventing overextended finger movements. They are easy to get used to wearing and help to decrease the amount of pain in my finger joints. Would gladly buy again. 5
