Firm not softHad these for around a week and they are working great. Big from my old wore out one that came with my boots so can t remember what it was like when the boots were new. The new ones were a little tight at first when I put them in and thought they were too big but after a couple days they have molded well into the boots. 5I have high arches, and they still seemed highGood quality like Carhartt usually is. But I have a pretty high arch, and these still seemed to be too much. I bought these to go in some Carhartt boots I bought at the same time. After comparing by walking around the house, the stock insoles that came in the boots were actually far more comfortable. So I returned these and saved $30. The boots themselves are some of the most comfortable I've ever worn, so the stock insoles are actually great for me. All you can do is see what feels best for you. 2The best insoles for the working man/woman on the marketFirst off the suede feel on the insole is smooth and an awesome touch. The insole itself is nice and thick with great arch support. Many insoles out on the market have zero arch support like many Dr. Scholls products. Prior to these insoles I owned the Dr.Scholls work insoles and they were trash from the start. My feet would ache during and long after work. With these Carhartt insoles my feet do not hurt because they actually offer great support that cannot be matched. I work 12 hour shifts and the majority of that time on my feet so take it from a guy who puts in work on these insoles and go ahead and buy yourself a pair. 5really helpedI have a rather expensive pair of Timberlands that I could only wear 1/2 day at a time, the first time I put these in I worked in them all day and have worn them a lot since and am going to order another pair for my other work boots. 5Happy Feet again....My feet thank you........... 5He is very pleased with these insolesMy husband wears a 10.5 size work boot and the insoles were for 11-11.5. He was able to trim them to fit. He is very pleased with these insoles. 5TerribleI expected that the first day with these would be uncomfortable, especially when you consider how much room they take up in your boot due to the height. I gave them 4 days and it kept getting worse. Feet hurt more and were more tired than before with my wore out inserts. Definitely would not recommend or buy again. 1Not just a replacement, an upgrade!After having to retire my previous work boots due to worn out insoles, I made sure to order these when I ordered my new Carhartt boots. I'm very glad that I did. These insoles have just a bit more arch support, which fit my average-ish arches very well. Also, they have a bit more cushion than the original insoles, especially in the heel cup.Like the originals, these insoles are firm, but cushioning. They do not mush down or slide around like third-party insoles will. And best of all, they fit the Carhartt boots perfectly. No trimming needed, and no poorly-contoured insoles that shift or roll up on the edges and cause blisters! 5Good qualityThought would need to trim. As if made for this boot. Can't tell difference from original till u step in them. Replace maybe 6-12 months w heavy use. I use 2 times week, so should last years 5You will be mad you didnt get them sooner!Freaking amazing! I put these in my old wellingtons and theyre like new! I just did a little trimming with the old soles over the new ones to make to fit right(i wear 10.5 and ordered the 11 sole) and its perfect! Like walking on a cloud. Kinda mad i didnt do it sooner 5
