GREAT Biotin that works!Not all biotin works, this one does and I'm on my second bottle. I mainly take it for my hair and nails. As menopause took over my life it caused my hair to thin severly, both my nails and hair have become dry and brittle do to hormonal changes. I originally was taking 2 capsules daily and I did this for a month with barely any changes. I upped my dose to 3 caps daily and yes I noticed another small difference. Did this alone work for my hair, no but because using biotin doesn't work, it does but my hormonal changes caused a need for HRT and in combination with bio identical hormones and dietary changes along with this brand of biotin my hair is getting healthier, thicker, stronger, and longer! And my nails are too!! I'll definitely be staying with this brand of biotin and hoping to grow back my full mane again.Side note: I take the 3 caps at once at night before bed. I've also taken this product in the day and I haven't ever experienced any stomach problems. 5Big improvement with my fingernailsNot sure about my hair but my nails are looking great. They used to be paper thin and brittle. Now they are much thicker and stronger. My husband thinks my hair looks better too. I'm not so sure but I'll keep taking them. 5Small breakouts, no positive resultsI really wanted to like this product-- but I wasn't that impressed with it. I'm trying to strengthen my hair before I donate it in a few months, and I thought this looked like an affordable and effective product. However, after several weeks of using this product, I noticed I was breaking out more than usual, and read up that taking Biotin supplements can cause acne. Not saying this applies to everyone, just a warning for anyone with sensitive skin like mine that there may be some minor side effects. With other forms of Biotin, I sometimes experienced what I call getting "pins and needles" in my stomach. I don't experience that with these!2. These supplements are much smaller than others, which is great for those who may have trouble swallowing pills.3. 5,000 mcg makes this very strong, which is great because it is such a small pill!UPDATE: I've been experiencing headaches and dizziness that my doctor is blaming the biotin. Why? The Institute of Medicine has set an adequate intake (AI) for biotin. Someone who is 19+ years old should take about 30 mcg daily. These supplements are 5,000 mcg! I was taking way too much daily. It was leading to headaches and dizziness. I would recommend taking a lower dose if you have to take them at all. 5Works fast!My hair & nails took off just after 7 days of taking 1 a day. INCREDIBLE! Add powdered collagen to your coffee or hot beverage & watch your hair & nails take off even more. My skin is incredible! And I've NEVER been able to say that. 5
