Simple to use and accurateThis product works as advertised. It is important to remember to keep the lid on tight and to keep the strips protected from moisture. I find the strips very handy and easy to use. 5Be aware that the results can sometimes be wildly inaccurateI used most of one pack of these without incident, then didn't use any for a couple of months. They were stored appropriately. When I started testing again, I got wildly inaccurate results (readings of well over 300; I had never had higher than 180 before). That freaked me out, because I thought something had gone seriously haywire in my body. I immediately got a lab order from my doctor, and after 3 days of worrying, got the results, showing that my blood glucose was in its typical range. Opened a new pack and got accurate readings from those test strips. But I'm seriously p.o.'d about that one group of test strips malfunctioning. 2Easy Touch blood glucose stripsI have been asked to review this product and give feedback. I have to say we use noth the monitor and strips from this company and we have been very pleased. To find a company that doesn't rip off diabetics and to have accurate product they have gained customers for as long as they are around. I would just ask that they never forget the customers they help. 5Decent tool, as inexpensive as it getsThese strips are not as accurate as I'd like, but they are well-priced for less expensive ballpark blood-sugar tracking. We will gradually switch over to the Abbott Freestyle Precision Neo system - they are more expensive than the Easy Touch but also more accurate. We'll still keep the Easy Touch system as you can't beat it for price, but be using the Neo for times when I need better accuracy. 4Great quality & great priceGreat quality & great price! I have ordered these for my husband multiple times! The cost effectiveness allows him to test his sugars multiple times a day without worrying about how it's going to affect our wallet especially since we pay for all his supplies out of pocket. I would even recommend people with insurance go this route rather than through their insurance coz from what I hear they only cover 1 strip a day for Type 2 diabetics which really won't give anyone a clear picture of where their sugars actually stand. 5One StarIN ACCURATE readings with these strips AND Easy Touch Meter. Very disappointing. 1Diabetes is too expensive. These help some.My insurance doesn't cover these, which is ridiculous. I can get this 2-pack for half of what my pharmacy charges, which is also ridiculous. 5Ordered for husbandThese are exactly what my husband needed. He was almost out and they told him he would need to go to dr for a script to get them. How great to find them available. 5Beware of strips as they ageAfter they are opened they have a limited reliable lifespan. I got scared of high readings after I had not used them for about 2 months even though they were in their own container in moderate temperature and humidity. I opened a sealed container and was tested were I usually do. Read about it online if your interested. 3Dangerously DefectiveThis product is dangerously defective. I have been very ill and now realize why. This morning I took 2 readings from the same finger stick on different strips. The first was 150. The second was 450... both nice round numbers. Yesterday I took 3 readings on 3 strips from the same finger stick. The first was 40. The second was Lo. The third was 350. Again all nice round numbers that are totally meaningless and unrelated to my blood sugar levels, which have been extremely high due to these false readings. Last weekend I tested at 120 in the morning and took a standard dose of insulin and went to the bank a couple of hours later. I could barely walk straight and had no energy. I felt like I was drowning in pain. Come to find out my blood sugar was actually over 600! The meter has been giving me nice, round normal figures when my blood sugar has been creeping higher and higher. I purchased this as an alternative to the ridiculously increasing prices of my old strips, but you get what you pay for. I'd return it, but it is past the return window because I was using up my old strips first. This should be pulled from the market. Please don't risk your health on these! I've lost enough time off work and am heading to the drug store to pay an arm and leg for some real test strips for my old meter. 1
