You won't go wrong with any of the medium roast full body coffees...so try them all. It's like trying new wines.I have purchased all of the medium roast full bodied coffees from this company and they are the best coffees available, by far.The Columbian is not by favorite because it does not have as unique a flavor as some of the others, perhaps because most of the coffee you buy at the grocery store is Columbian in origin? At any rate, all of these coffees suit my medium roast preference ( I can't stand the hardness of Starbucks) and still have a nice strong brew, none of that weak stuff for me!4NO VALUEThe coffee is good but the price is out of line. Since they have raised the price yet again I have moved one to another brand. Greed will run them out of business.2Love this brand!Fresh Roasted Coffee has never let me down and this is no exception! Delicious! We add a little roasted chicory when we grind then add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 5-9 cardamom seeds when we make a pot! Best ever and keeps our insulin from spiking! Win win!5It's not mind-bogglingy fantastic but it's a great daily brewI won't hornswoggle you with "hints of cherry and cocoa undertones" or "grown under broad-sweeping banyans at nosebleed altitudes"; this is just a good-smelling, good-tasting, fresh cuppa. Just a shade lighter than what I'd call a full city roast, and it works perfectly for these beans. It's not mind-bogglingy fantastic but it's a great daily brew.4Very Smooth, Medium Body, Low AcidVery easy to drink, mild and low acid. The flavor is good and well-rounded, but not as full-bodied as I had hoped. Using the pour-over method, I don't use the full 12oz of water for 4 tbs of the grinds...to make it a little stronger.I got interested in Sierra Nevada Colombian coffee from the Juan Valdez regional offering, which is intensely dark chocolate and low acid. This doesn't have the same depth, but is better than Starbucks Colombian beans, which are from Narino and too acidic and bland for me. FRC also costs nearly half of what Starbucks charges where I live.This will be my go-to coffee until I can find something deeper in flavor that rivals the Juan Valdez, that's not $20 a pound...I recommend it for people who like an easy-drinking, medium-bodied coffee. It is very smooth. It's nice brewed stronger. Good price too. Beans are the lighter color ones in the customer side-by-side picture, definitely not "oily". Maybe FRC changed their methods a while ago?4Too strong for my morning cup.This coffee is so strong, even though it describes itself as "medium roast." I didn't like that OR the taste of the coffee itself. Others might think it's great, but it's not for me.1I thought I wouldn't like it but I really doI've been drinking Bali Blue Mood for several years but the price went up to $55 so I tried this--and really like it.5Never bitter!I grind my beans just before brewing so I always buy whole bean coffee. This is my second order of this brand.
