Five StarsWhen used with Stinging Nettles Capsules from Piping Rock this product is growing new hair on my scalp! 5Can definately tell that my joints are much better since I've started taking Stinging Nettle BlendCan definately tell that my joints are much better since I've started taking Stinging Nettle Blend.Will probably always take it. 5Worth itNettle was recommended to me for building up a natural histamine blocker. Works great! I would get a sinus infection every 4 months. Since taking Nettle I have not had any, thank God for putting what we need in nature 5Alleviates my allergies like nothing else doesI had only ever used a tincture made by my mom from fresh picked stinging nettle before, so I wasn't sure if one that was mass-produced (Inevitably using a dry nettle) would work as well. It does! I'm on my second bottle. The only negative thing I have to say about this is that it didn't last me too long, just about a month or less.I ordered my second bottle of nettle at the same time I bought a big bag of nettle leaf to make my own tincture. It takes about a month to make so, and it's not done yet, so I can't tell you if my homemade one works as well as this one from Herb Farm, but I'll update. 5Good for histamine reactionsI've been using this for histamine reactions, topically for bug bites, and a dropper full in juice when I wipe out on the mountain bike and end up in a brier patch (the last time that happened, I had a mild rash on the arm that got scratched up the most, which went away quickly after taking the stinging nettle extract). 5Worked!I have had uncontrollable itching with my face swollen - no known cause. Tried many things but the nettle stopped the itching - took it 4 times a day for a while and now it seems to be gone. gave it to my son as well - he had itching from eczema and he said it worked great. He's not one who can be easily impressed with natural products so to me it says a lot.I just put one squirt in a glass with an oz or so of water and drank it. 5It works!I went off two allergy medications and just use this. It's the first time in three years I have not taken allergy medication! Tastes slightly sweet, easy to take. 5Helps body fight allergies & build tolerance to cat danderI get allergies from cat dander that don't always respond to a pharmaceutical allergy medicine, so this herb is great for tackling crazy allergies. I take stinging nettle when I know they are coming on, and every few hours. I am never without this bottle, as its a must-have for major allergies - helps your body fight back and build up tolerance rather than masking the symptoms. (though I still use the OTC allergy meds) 5Traditional or "Folk" AntihistamineAfter some research, I started putting a few drops of stinging nettle extract in my cat's water to relieve her allergies, because even though her allergies were similar to mine, I couldn't give her Allegra. She didn't really like the nettle in her water, so sometimes I squirted a bit down her throat. (The bottle includes a soft dropper.) She liked that even less, but it seemed to help, so she stopped resisting. So much. Then one night I was allergic to something and got that driving-me-crazy itch in the back of my throat. I took an Allegra, but knew it wouldn't work for about twenty minutes, and just couldn't deal with that itch that long. In desperation, I squeezed up a dropper full and shot it down the back of my throat. It tasted terrible. It did indeed sting. But it worked. Instantly. When I told my allergist, he wondered whether it just distracted me from one pain by providing me with an alternative pain, but I pointed out that pinching myself didn't distract me. Later I learned that stinging nettle is a traditional remedy for "hay fever," etc. The first bottle I bought came from Whole Foods; it was the same as this. I doubt nettle is everyone's cup of tea -- I guess you could prepare it that way -- but it works for my purposes. 4My daughter doesn't mind the taste of this.My daughter doesn't mind the taste of this. She has taken it every day and her allergies are under control without needing any OTC allergy meds 5
