Be sure to pay attention to sizing chart.More expensive than most, but worth it. The sizing chart is very important.They took me only about a short week to get very comfortable with. My legs feel much stronger and less tired. I ve tried others and always go back to these. 5Not the sameI have been wearing Jobst Active Wear firm support socks for 5 years and I have to say that these were a BIG disappointment. When I first put them on I had to confirm that I was putting the new pair on. The support was not firm and the upper band stretched out of shape during the day. After washing some the firmness returned too what they should be. I ordered a white and black pair; there is no difference in the firmness of support. I hope this is not the start of a decrease in the quality of this product. I use to suggest these to patients but now I am having second thoughts. 2Great Compression StockingsThese compression stockings are great and do their job. The best part is they are much easier to put on because it is like wearing /putting on socks. Note: these stockings are comparable to thick socks, not hose. 5If you have large calves--appx. 20 inches around and need support socks, these large size socks are for you!My husband has really large calves--about 20 inches around. The large size in these socks fit him well and comfortably--they are not too tight and provide great support. He wears the black ones to work and they look just like regular socks. He washes them using a gentle care fabric wash in the washer and they do NOT ever see the dryer--hang to dry. The past five pairs have lasted for quite some time--about a year--although they do lose some of their support as they get older and was the only reason they needed replaced, as the material is durable and they have not developed runs or have holes even after a year of wearing. 5
