Not just for pregnancy and breastfeeding!I'm not pregnant and not planning on becoming so, but I'm a firm believer that any woman of child-bearing age should take folic acid at the least. That being said, this is an excellent vitamin for overall women's health. Huge plus: my hair has never grown so long and healthy! My nails grow quickly as well. I've tried other brands and this one is the most substantial. I couldn't recommend this pre-natal more! 5Hair grows fastI've taken these prenatal vitamins with the okay for my doctor for 30 plus years. My hair grows so fast and it's always soaked in shining. I also had a hysterectomy and these same to have help balance me out. I just think we should head back. Do as I did and get the okay from your doctor first if you're not pregnant. 5I like themStarted taking these in anticipation of pregnancy. Noticed the difference in my hair and nails immediately. I just hope they do what they are suppose to for the baby's development. 5Where is the Warning? Prenatal that may cause birth defects, uterine contractions, liver damageWhy does a prenatal boast of having Borage Oil? There is no warning indicating the risks. This is your warning.From WebMD on Borage Oil: Pregnancy and Breastfeeding.Borage seed oil is LIKELY UNSAFE during pregnancy and while breast-feeding. It is important to avoid borage products that might contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs). PAs are a risk to the mother because they can cause serious liver disease and might cause cancer. PAs are also a risk to the infant because they might cause birth defects and they can pass into breast milk. Researchers are not sure if borage products that are certified PA-free are safe during pregnancy and breast-feeding. It is best to stay safe and avoid using borage.Bleeding disorders: There is some concern that borage seed oil might prolong bleeding time and increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. However, I should've read more detail before ordering because the serving size to get the stated amount of ingredients is 3 capsules daily. So these will now last 1/3 of the time I thought. Not a problem for me, but I know it can be for people in general and especially those that are pregnant. 3High quality prenatalI have used this prenatal for all 3 of my pregnancies. My babies have all been 8+ pounds, full term and healthy. Seems to have more minerals than a lot of the cheaper brands and includes dha so you don't need a separate dha supplement. 5and she liked them. Her hair was falling out after her baby was born, (breast-feeding) and the pre-natal vitamin she was using was not helping, but this one did. She just wishes she had used it the whole pregnancy. 5... vitamins for the last 3 months and I really like them. Prior to becoming pregnantI have been taking these vitamins for the last 3 months and I really like them. Prior to becoming pregnant, I did have some bathroom issues and I was worried about being constipated during pregnancy. Can't say for sure that it is because of these vitamins, but I do think its likely. I have read some reviews that talk about having a big baby at birth....I am interested to see if that has any truth...I am currently 19.5 weeks. If I have time then, I will update my review! 5Great prenatal for sensitive stomachsI get nausea from most prenatal vitamins and I ve tried probably 15 different brands. You do have to take 3 tabs a day and they are large gel capsules but I love this prenatal and would recommend to women with sensitive stomachs 5Perfect supplement for nursing mothers!I was suffering from some post-pardom depression and a friend suggested taking these pre-natals. It was night and day difference! My energy came back, my mood swings were greatly reduced, and my outlook on life was better! I didn't realize all my body was lacking! sooooooo happy to have found these! 5
