Definitely Needed the SupportI was training for a half marathon and needed support after I injured me knee by having my leg hyper-extend outward (meniscus injury I believe). I couldn't run for weeks and finally succumbed to the notion that I needed a brace if I wanted to run in my race. Luckily, someone else had written a review with her same measurements as I, so I bought what she bought... 5'7", 135lbs, bought a small. Tight squeeze, but comfortable. At first I didn't believe that this brace could actually give me support for running, but it magically did. I was able to run for miles and not feel pain, and I performed my half marathon easily. The only thing I did not like about the construction of this brace was the crease line on the back of the knee...my knee bends and then inevitably rubs against this crease creating some discomfort, but nothing like feeling the pain in my knee. Definitely small and not bulky, which was another main reason I bought this brace. It absorbs a lot of your sweat, so after a 13 mile run it is indeed wet. Right after I am done running and walking to cool down, I flip the brace down to my ankle and eventually take it off. WORTH IT! 5Works wellI use for chondromalacia. This is my 2nd purchase. First one stretched out but if I have to repurchase once a year I m good with that! 5Does its job.I received this upon my Dr.'s recommendation. The first time I put it on was a bit difficult but after that it have "loosened" enough to where it slips right on but still stabilizes while being worn. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the top part (above the knee) slides down over the kneecap so I find myself adjusting it during my workouts. More of a nuisance than anything. It is comfortable enough during workouts and daily wear. I would recommend it to someone with patellar tracking issues. 4So disappointing!I have been purchasing pro-tec knees sleeves, both the short one and the long one with the adjustable velcro tabs for years and been happy. I just bought one of these, and after only about 1 month, the plastic bar has worn a hole in the mesh confining it and is popping out - basically ruining its functionality! Pro-Tec needs to work on its quality management plan, or improve the materials they are using in the product!!! 1Did not lastPurchased this on September 3, 2018 and it lasted two months - the rubber tubing that sits below the knee has come out after only two months of use - used once a week. The support for the tubing is glued on and the glue must have failed. Had an older model with the tubing stitched on and that lasted probably about 5 years - great product and helped my knee. Too bad the quality is not so good now 2This item is not eligible for exchange or return through Amazon.Used the sizing chart as recommended....sleeve didn t fit properly. Upon attempting to exchange/return-Amazon then states item is not eligible for return. Amazon should state in the item description if an item not eligible for return. 1Great support for knees in pain!Easy to put on. Comfortable and helped my knees feel very well supported on the days I experienced uncomfortable pain. Highly recommended. But you don t want to wear them for too many hours because they sweat your skin. But that is a small price to pay because of the great joint support I personally got out of them. 5Well made and perfectly sized neoprene knee supportMy old neoprene knee brace has had enough use and washings so it isn't quite the support I used to have. This short sleeve knee support is well-constructed and the rubber bumper under the patella seems to stabilize the patella permitting lots of movement with minimum stress on the knee. It does have some lining but it's not thick. There are no metal/plastic braces to worry about and I'm not sure they do that much good anyway. While I'm not saying I can do things now that I couldn't do, I feel more secure and can still play 2 hrs of doubles tennis so I'm pleased. This is a much better value than most of the other knee sleeve supports I have investigated. Fast & free shipping via Amazon since I combined products with free shipping. I'll certainly buy another one when the time comes. 5Better than I expectedI read the other reviews here on Amazon that claimed this knee sleeve was miraculous, and I was skeptical, but I figured what the heck. For less than $20, it's worth a try.Well, it really does work well! My knee gets very sore when I run, and this sleeve makes it 80% better. I think it's a combination of the patellar support under the knee, the compression, and the fact that my knee stays warm when I'm wearing this. I've been able to do 40 minute runs with little discomfort, whereas before using this support, I was hurting right away.Bottom line: well worth $20. I'm ordering another one for my other knee. 5the patella band is kinda hard and stiffI like that this is low profile and much shorter than the other braces I own and have tried. But I wish the patella band would be softer. I understand the need for some pressure there but this was a bit more than I wanted. Oh, I measured at 14 inches so based on what the manufacturer says, I'm the low end of medium. I'm so glad I didn't go small. I find this medium size to be snug even for my relatively skinny legs.
