I should be a salesman for this productSince discovering these soup socks, I have told all my friends about it. We're Jewish and make chicken soup frequently, for holidays, illness, and to keep in freezer for just in case. One friend told me this changed her whole life! Clean up is usually a bummer after making chicken soup. Draining chicken, vegetable, bones, etc. and so messy. Now all we have to do is lift the bag, loaded with chicken and vegetables right out of the pot, and we are left with clean chicken broth. Open the sock and we have cooked chicken and vegetables, separately from the soup. LOVE THESE SOUP SOCKS!5the idea is beautifulExcellent thing for the kitchen, practical, convenient to use, and repeatedly. There are 3 bags in the package. The broth does turn out to be transparent. Purchase is satisfied.5Soup Socks - I love them.....If you like to make soup, particularly with chicken and celery, onions,parsnips and herbs, these little babies are a dream. You just put all your ingredients in the soup stock, cook, and then no straining,. Once you take the soup sock out, you have a clear chicken broth. You can put the chicken breasts or parts back in the soup if you like a hearty chicken soup but just toss the celery, onions, parsley without any mess. Add your extras to the clear broth....noodles, carrots or parsnips..... one pot and done. I only learned about them last year and they have made cooking soup an easy clean-up. I discard as soon as I am done; no fishing around when soup is made.5soup-socksThis soup-sock is extremely practical, before I discovered this, I made a little package of the herbs that I intended to cook in the chicken soup and I made this package out of cheese cloth,tying it with string, which sometiems opened up during cooking and the entire content was lost and the purpose defeated now with the soup-sock I can put everything into it, tie the top, when the soup is finished, I fish it out and put it in a sieve and can press it out, getting all the flavour and discarding the whole remaining herbs (onions, garlic,tomatoes, celery, MIU France 3601 Pour Off Sieve, Stainlessparsley, etc. etc.) easily into the garbage or recycling/compost.5I love these, they hold a lot and are strongI cannot believe I never thought of making a bag out of cheese cloth before. I like to make split pea soup, and I put a lot of roasted bones from a smoked ham, along with bay leaves and garlic heads cut in half, and the socks are SO easy to pull out, and discard at the end! No fishing for small pieces of bone or schmutz, or chasing after garlic hulls, or the surprise bay leaf in someones bowl. They do not impart any flavor or smell of any kind, and hold up to hours of simmering.GREAT when making stock too. Highly recommend !5Exactly what I neededWorked well for chicken and beef bones.
