Excellent tasting gluten free tamari sauceVery happy to find this product - excellent tasting, you would never know it is gluten free. I am so happy now I can order chinese chicken fried rice - I tell them in advance - must be gluten free - no soy sauce. After 6 years - I can now enjoy chicken fried rice again!! Caution: this so far has worked for me telling my local chinese restaurant - must be gluten free/no soy sauce - this technique may not work for some celiacs. I only eat chinese once a month or less... I do this as a treat.These little packets are convenient and easy to carry. Amazon has a wonderful price on them. These will last me for a long time :)5Tasty and convenientFinally able to be gluten free at sushi restaurants and still enjoy my soy sauce! I avoid using plastic whenever possible, but these packages are so much neater and more convenient than the small glass bottle of Tamari I had tried carrying around with me and I always have some with me so I don't have to remember to bring the bottle.5awesomereally happy with this purchase. really nice to have em in little packets like that. i went out last night for sushi, and it was awesome. the waitress didn't think twice about it, i was worried people would think it was strange, bringing your own sauce to a restaurant, but no one seemed to care at all. and it tastes good too. just like any other soy sauce. the one thing that caught my eye though was the manufacture date is 2009.53.5-star Product, 2-star Manufacturer's PackagingWhere to start? The good news is that this tamari is acceptable given I needed a GF replacement for wheat-laden soy sauce. That said, it is strong and salty and has none of the subtlety to a higher quality soy sauce. Thus, I give the sauce a 3.5 quality rating.But, that is tempered by the condition in which I received the product. The 200 packets come loose packed inside a box labeled for the product and that is likely the most efficient packaging for what is essentially a wholesale commercial product. That box came packed in a large Amazon box with the typical eight air bladders for cushioning. Here's the problem and it is likely a one-off: when I opened the box, the immediate aroma of tamari told me there was an issue. Almost all of the packets were sticky and at the bottom I discovered that two of the packets had ruptured with their contents spreading across with all the other packets. I had to soak all of the packets in a bowl of water and then dry them to get them clean. A major hassle and worthy of a 2-star rating on the packaging by the manufacturer (not, this likely happened before Amazon packed the product so I do not blame Amazon).I am sure most others won't have this problem but I thought it worth sharing.3Great for Travel Meal Prep (Gluten Free Diets)I'm a very frequent business traveler, and I prefer to stay in hotels with kitchens where I can prepare my own meals. Also, I have a gluten-free diet. I count on these individual Tamari packets to take on my business trips for my meal planning. They work great. My only wish is that they also came in the reduced-sodium version, but I can't seem to find those anywhere.5Handy GF packets for restaurants & on the go sushi!Perfect for restaurants to have on hand for gluten-free customers! I had a bottle of San J gluten free soy sauce and needed more. I found the value of these 1/4-ounce packets was cheaper than buying a bottle at amazon.com. I was not going to be near the local retail store for this soy sauce soon, so I ordered online.I was surprised to open the box for these Tamari Soy Sauce Packs. The little packets seemed to have been fed into the box without a plastic wrap. They were in a box of the proper size, inside an outer shipping box. No leaks.But, I counted 197 packets. I had put every packet on baking racks to warm up as they were delivered in cold weather and I did not want them to get wet from condensation when they warmed up in a container. I counted twice.Back to my thought these were fed into the product box. I pictured a machine dispensing the packets through a chute with the amount delivered based on time or weight.I cut a packet open with scissors for use. Not sure how to tear them open.5Love the plentiful supply of gluten-free soy sauceLove the plentiful supply of gluten-free soy sauce. I carry a few in my purse at all times to alleviate having to call ahead at a sushi restaurant hoping they have tamari sauce. Now I can pretty much go anywhere without needing to lug my own bottle around.5Perfect, good price, easy via Amazon!Finally, I have got my hands on these gluten free travel packs. So hard to find, and even though it is 200 sachets, believe me they will last! Now I carry some in my purse, some at work: all for those sushi moments. I can't be happier and I no longer have to bring the little bottle of sanj GF soy! Yeah. Taste just fine. I use the same brand in the super large bottles at home, so I know this brand is fantastic for all their other gluten free products.. Ooh let me check if Amazon is selling the SanJ teriyaki sauce!5I Like This More Than Regular Soy SauceThis stuff tastes heavenly and it's a great alternative for people on a GF diet. Personally, I think they pack more of a punch than your ordinary soy sauce varieties.The packets are kind of a pain when you want to cook at home as you have to cut open a handful of them and squeeze them all out, but I certainly didn't need 200 packets and a giant bottle of GF soy sauce.Of course, the big reason for getting these in packet form is that you can take them with you and add them to any food you see fit. I love that I can enjoy sushi again thanks to Tamari sauce.Also, I haven't had any problems with leakage either...so I'd just like to point out that it's not something everyone has to deal with when you order these.5
