Too big!I really like this company's products, but these TABLETS are much too large to swallow. Very hard to cut in half, even using a pill splitter. I thought they appeared as capsules in the photo I never would have ordered had I know they were tablets. 3good productfor people complaining about the "horsepill" size, most L-Lysine pills in other brands are exactly like this one, shouldn't be an issue for most people. The bottle is really nice, nostalgic of the 1940s pharmacy era. I have never had a problem with this supplement in any brand, I like that it supports healthy skin and helps heal sores. BTW nothing works overnight, you should be taking this daily as a dietary supplement for maximum results. NO supplement is a one time thing. 5Shingles be gone!!!This is helping me to stay Shingles-free! I take 3 pills per day for a grand total of 3,000 mg. (I also try to avoid foods high in arginine since it can bring on Shingles). Lowering stress helps too, but that's harder to do...If you've been struggling with Shingles, definitely give these a try!! 5Love Solgar brand. L-Lysine speeds recovery of mouth sores!Ever get those painful, stinging little, circle shaped, white sores in your mouth. Those tiny little sores, make a home in your mouth and sit painfully on the inside of your lip or the inside of your cheek, and make tooth brushing, eating and drinking a painful challenge. They linger for DAYS that can up up to a week or more! Well, at the first sign of one, I faithfully take these pills as directed on the bottle and do so for an extra two days after the sore is gone. Whether I notice the sore right away w/ a suspicion of one to come, or if I wake up with a full blown boo boo, I take these pills, and have always found that wishing 24-48 hours, I am SIGNIFICANTLY on the mend! If I forget to take it two days after a complete healing, I would sometimes experience a return of the sore or another one nearby. I'm so happy with the results I always get from these that I always have a bottle on hand. Once I'm low on the bottle, I order another one to take it's place. I'm never without this in my medicine/vitamin cabinet. 5I feel like I have a stomach bug when I take theseI have taken thousands of milligrams a day of different brands of Lysine on and off for years for *canker* sores and never had a reaction. I figured I'd try this brand because of the high rating of it here on Amazon. I've been taking the ENORMOUS tablets for about two weeks now. If I take one, once a day, I will have a LOT of gas. If I have two tablets (a total of 2,000 mg) in a single day, I feel like I have a stomach bug: nausea and terrible, crampy gas pains. The pharmacist says this can happen from the "binders" a company uses to actually form a tablet. It's weird that this particular company is giving me problems (that I've never experienced with Lysine supplements before) since they use quality ingredients and don't add a bunch of unnecessary additives. It's weird, I know. I don't know what it is that my belly doesn't like about the stuff, but there you go. And since I can't take as many milligrams as I need to kick this canker sore (because the abdominal pain is too much), it seems useless to take the supplement. So yeah, stomach pain on top of a nasty canker.Oh yeah, one more thing: I am a champ pill taker--I can down anything. But these tablets are the largest I've ever seen--and they hurt. Regardless of the soft coating on them, they're still hard to take without them scratching the esophagus on their way down. 2Great stuffQuality lysine. This is the one I keep coming back to. 5The larger dose is helpful if you need to take higher amounts of this supplementI've been taking l-lysine off and on for over 25 years, and was happy to find this one.
